Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Dynamic Radio Systems ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Dynamic Radio Systems is operated as a sole proprietorship in the United States. Questions go to support@dynamicradiosystems.com.
Text messaging. We do not sell, rent, share or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or your text messaging opt-in consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used only to send you the messages you asked for. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of sharing described in this policy, and will not be shared with any third parties.
1. Who this policy covers
- Customers and their staff: the businesses that subscribe to our service and the people they add to their account to receive alerts or use the dashboard.
- Website visitors: people who visit dynamicradiosystems.com.
- People heard on the radio: anyone whose transmission on a public marine VHF channel is received by our equipment. See section 4.

3. How we use customer information
- To provide the service: monitoring channels, sending alerts and summaries, and running the dashboard.
- To communicate with you about your account, the service, and changes to these policies.
- To keep the service secure and to fix problems.
- To improve accuracy, for example by using your feedback on alerts.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Radio recordings and transcripts
Our receivers pick up voice transmissions on marine VHF channels, which anyone with a marine radio can hear. We record these transmissions, store the audio, produce written transcripts, and use automated analysis to judge what each transmission is about and how urgent it is. Recordings and transcripts may contain voices, names, vessel names, call signs, MMSI numbers, positions and anything else a speaker chose to say on the air.
- We provide recordings, transcripts and summaries to our customers as part of the service.
- We do not use radio content for advertising, and we do not sell it as a data product.
- Radio content is not linked to the accounts of the people speaking; we generally do not know who they are.
- If you believe a recording of your transmission should be removed, contact us and we will review the request.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to providing their service to us:
- Hosting and storage providers, which run our servers and store our data in the United States.
- Messaging providers, which deliver our text messages and emails.
- AI service providers, which help analyze transcripts and summarize radio traffic. They receive transcript text and your written alert instructions, not your phone number or email address.
Our text message provider receives your mobile number only to deliver the messages you asked for. As stated above, mobile numbers and text messaging consent are never shared for marketing.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of any person, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the information transferred.
6. How long we keep information
- Account information is kept while your account is active, and deleted or anonymized within 90 days of closing it, except where we must keep records for legal, tax or accounting reasons.
- Technical logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
7. Security
Information is encrypted in transit and access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected customers of a breach as required by law.
8. Your choices
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or change your delivery settings in the dashboard. Reply HELP for help.
- Email: change your delivery settings, or ask your account administrator or us.
- Access, correction and deletion: email support@dynamicradiosystems.com to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected or deleted. We will answer within 30 days. Depending on your state, you may have additional rights under state privacy law, and we will honor them where they apply.
9. Cookies
We use only the cookie needed to keep you signed in to the dashboard. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
10. Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and tell customers by email before the change takes effect.
